Jn. 6:14 After the people saw the miraculous sign that Yeshua did, they began to say, “Surely this must be The Prophet who is come into the world.”
Once again we have a reference to The Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:15, 18. This is clear evidence that at least some of the common people (Am haEretz) were accepting Yeshua as Messiah.
Source: Deut. 18:15, 18
Jn. 6:15a Therefore when Jesus perceived they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him King,
Yeshua rejects them for wanting to make Him King for three reasons. First of all, they want to make Him King based solely on a miracle. Their motivation is wrong. Secondly, the unpardonable sin of national rejection has already occurred. It is too late. Third, and most important, the prophets taught that Messiah would be crowned in Jerusalem, Not Galilee. God’s Word must be fulfilled exactly as it says.
Mt. 14:22 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side while He sent the multitudes away. Mk. 6:45 Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away.
Mt. 14:23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on a mountain to pray. And when the evening came He was alone.
Mk. 6:46 And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.
Jn. 6:15b He departed again to a mountain by Himself alone.
Here again the Lord sets an example for us when we pray. Our communication with God is incredibly important. We need to be in a place where we cannot be interrupted when we pray. All our thoughts and concentration should be on Him.
