Mt. 16:27 "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his work."
Mk. 8:38 “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
Lk. 9:26 “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.”
Mt. 16:28 “Assuredly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.”
Mk. 9:1 And He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the Kingdom of God present with power.”
Lk. 9:27 “But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Kingdom of God.”
Some say that Yeshua was referring to in this verse what was to happen six days later when some of His disciples saw Him on the Mount of Transfiguration. But this would not be in accordance with the proper use of the language. Why would He have indicated that some of them would still be living when He came if He was only talking about something that would happen in just eight days. That would mean that some of His disciples would for some reason be dead before then and not there for His statement to make any sense. He was not talking about eight days later, but 40 years later, and in their generation. The disciples evidently understood His coming to be associated with the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E. Also, in Mark 8:34, the Scriptures indicate that there were other people there besides His disciples. He could have been talking about some of them.
